Scott Leon is a Northern California based landscape photographer. After a long career in commercial studio photography, he shifted his focus to personal work rooted in the natural environment.
Working primarily in black and white, Scott approaches the landscape with a disciplined sensitivity to light, space, and composition. His photographs balance structure and atmosphere, often suggesting themes of presence, memory, and the quiet relationship between self and place.
Raised in the Midwest, he began studying photography at Columbia College in Chicago after an early career in the theatre. He later earned a BFA from Brooks Institute of Photography and established a commercial studio in San Francisco. That foundation continues to inform his evolving body of landscape work.
Scott's work has been exhibited at Black Box Gallery (Portland, OR), the Center for Photographic Art’s International Juried Exhibition, Online (Monterey, CA), and Gray Loft Gallery’s Orange Crush exhibition (Oakland, CA).
